Frequently Asked Questions
Where do you start?
Firstly it's important to know that Australian law requires that you complete a Notice of Intention of Marriage which must be lodged not less than one month and one day and not more than eighteen months prior to your marriage ceremony.
The Celebrant must sight evidence of identity and age. This must be provided by an original full Birth Certificate (not a short extract). A current overseas passport or current Australian passport and/or current driver's licence or similar photo identity facility and if applicable an original Certificate of Name Change.
Where do I perform wedding ceremonies?
I am located in Gosford on the beautiful Central Coast of NSW close to Sydney. This is just a short distance to most areas of Sydney and the Hunter Valley. I perform ceremonies anywhere in NSW or along the eastern seaboard of Australia.
What if you have been married before?
If you have been divorced I must sight an original copy of your decree absolute. If your previous spouse has died an original copy of the Death Certificate is required. You must produce these documents before your marriage takes place.
What else do I need to know?
A week before your wedding you must sign a declaration stating that there is no impediment to the marriage between yourself and your future husband/wife. On your wedding day you sign the wedding register and other documents. To complete this procedure you will need two witnesses who are both over the age of 18.
What are the fees and charges that apply?
You will find my fees extremely competitive without scrimping on professionalism and quality of service.
